We welcome back Rev. Joe Franks of the Briarwood Presbyterian Church Planting Network (Birmingham, AL).  Joe will bring a message from Revelation 1:1-20, entitled:  “

Today’s Tribulations and the Sovereign King.”

CHRISTMAS CHILDREN’S CHOIR

You can still sign your children up for the Christmas Children’s Choir with 

wendy@horizonchurch.org! Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15pm, with the final performance on December 10

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Making Sense of God (Alvin Sell) – In this class, we will read and discuss Making Sense of God, by Tim Keller, in order to be better prepared to answer honest objections to Christianity.  We’ll also learn how to inform others that many of their strongest values are rooted in the Christian world view. We meet in Classroom A at 9 am

.

 

The Gospel of Matthew (Ralph Bass) – Join us for an in-depth look at this foundational account of Jesus’ ministry, examining his extraordinary life and message. We meet in Classroom B at 9 am

.

 

ESL  & SPANISH CLASSES

Both English and Spanish (a new addition) classes meet on Tuesdays, running simultaneously from 

6:30-8pm

. Childcare provided. Only cost is the fee for the book.

 

PRAYER ON SUNDAY MORNING

Come at 

9:00 am Sunday morning to Classroom C to pray for Horizon Church needs and the Sunday service. You don’t need to come at 9 am

 sharp or even remain for the entire hour.  Just feel free to come by and pray.

 

NURSERY DIRECTOR SEARCH

As God has called our Nursery Director, Stephanie Norris, to a new season in life where she has more time with family; we look forward to what God has in store next for us with nursery oversight.  If you know somebody who would be interested in talking about the role, please contact Steve Murphy (

HYP is having another 

Girls’/Guys’ Night Friday, October 27, 6-9pm! $20 for dinner and a night of fun! If your child doesn’t have a waiver on file, be sure they fill one out–available on the HYP Facebook page. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

Meeting 

on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am, and featuring both large and small group format. We’re studyingActs, The Holy Spirit Transforms Lives. Book cost is $15, and free childcare and homeschool monitoring is provided. An evening group, with childcare also available, meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8 pm. CAMPING TRIP

You are invited to join fellow Horizonite families on a camping trip during Greenville County School District’s fall break. Check out Hamilton Branch State Park, on the SC-GA border, north of Augusta! Sites 17 and 18 have already been reserved by Horizon families, so book now to be near them! Trip is planned for
