ESL MONDAY NIGHTS
Non-English speakers are welcome to come to Horizon on Monday evenings 6:30-8pm to strengthen their language  skills. Contact Melissa Young HERE.
 
“JUST MOVED” STARTS  SEPTEMBER 19 
Ladies–moved recently or still unsettled?  Experienced a life change? Lived here for years and want to meet new friends? Our Just Moved study begins Thursday, September 19 10am-noon. Cost is $10 for all materials; child care is provided, and there’s no homework. Register with Jan Hurst HERE. Jan will be available in the lobby after the Sunday service to answer questions. If you can’t attend Thursday mornings, we welcome you to register to be notified of upcoming social events. Please tell your friends and neighbors about this opportunity. All ages are invited!
 
SEEKING WOMEN AND YOUTH WILLING TO SERVE ON A/V TEAM
Interested in learning a new skill? Willing to serve the Lord during worship behind the scenes? Our worship team is looking for women and youth to train for sound and video. If your interest is piqued, come observe on Sunday!  Email Scott Jacobs HERE.

YOUNG AT HEART FIRST FALL MEETING
Horizon leadership is excited to revitalize the Young at Heart group this fall! For dinner and fellowship, plan to join us at Fuddrucker’s on Woodruff Road Tuesday, September 24 at 6pm.
 
WOMENS’ BIBLE STUDY WEDNESDAYS 
All women…Horizon members, non-Horizon members, friends, family members…are invited and welcome to our Women’s Bible Study.  We are studying the gospel of Mark, using Son of God by Keri Folmar as our study guide (book is $15). We meet on Wednesdays at 9:30-11:30am and 6:30-8pm at the church. Child care is FREE.  To sign up, email Susan Goodbar HERE.
 
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR EVERYONE SUNDAYS AT 9AM
Classroom A: Walk through the Bible with Joe Franks, Dave Satterlee, and others as they teach passages from our week’s chronological Bible reading plan; Classroom B: Ralph Bass: The book of Daniel;   Kidz Wing::  Kids meet for age-appropriate teaching
 
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD GOAL FOR SEPTEMBER  is $700. This will allow us to purchase  toys to fill 350 shoeboxes. Please designate your gift by writing OCC in the memo line of your check and place it in the offering plate on Sunday. You may also contribute by placing cash in an envelope marked OCC, and putting it in the box in the church office.
 
CREATED FOR A PURPOSE 2020
Horizon will hold Created for a Purpose and Built for a Purpose next summer!  Please mark your calendars for July 27-July 31, 2020. The camps are for rising 3rd – 8th graders.  We invite adults to volunteer and students to participate. More details coming much closer to time.
